Matches vs Differs
With Digit Matches you pick one digit (0 to 9) and win only if the last digit of the final tick is exactly that digit. With Digit Differs you win if it is any other digit.
| Contract | Wins when | Chance (even digits) | Payout |
|---|---|---|---|
| Matches | Last digit equals your digit | About 1 in 10 | High |
| Differs | Last digit is anything else | About 9 in 10 | Low |
The two free Matches bots
Prism Matches trades 1-tick Matches on Volatility 10 (1s). It tracks your total profit, stops at your target profit or loss limit, and restarts automatically after each trade until one of those is reached.
Volt Scalper uses the same engine and market with a different predicted digit, set up for a recovery cycle after losses.
Settings that matter
- Stake: because most Matches trades lose, start at the minimum (0.35 USD) on demo.
- Target profit: where the bot stops after a good run. Keep it realistic.
- Loss limit: the bot's default loss limit is set high. Lower it to an amount you can afford to lose before running it on a real account.
- Predicted digit: change it in the trade options block. No digit is "luckier" than another.
Why Matches is high risk
With a 1-in-10 chance per trade, long losing runs are normal. On average you would expect about nine losing trades for every win, and runs of 20 or 30 losses in a row happen. Any bot that raises the stake after losses on Matches can burn through an account very quickly.
What about Differs?
Differs is the opposite trade: it wins most of the time but pays very little, so one loss can cancel many wins. If you want frequent wins with smaller swings, an Over/Under or Even/Odd bot is usually easier to manage.
Frequently asked questions
What is a Digit Matches bot?
It is a Deriv bot that repeatedly buys Digit Matches contracts, which win only when the last digit of the final tick equals the digit you chose.
How often does a Matches bot win?
If digits are evenly spread, about one trade in ten. Long losing runs are normal.
Which market do the Matches bots use?
Both are set up for Volatility 10 (1s), which ticks every second.
Should I use martingale on Matches?
Be very careful. Because losing runs are long, raising the stake after losses can drain an account quickly. Keep a firm loss limit.
